INTRODUCTION OF VIPASSANA
-
Everybody seeks peace &
harmony because we lack peace.
-
Experience Agitation &
distributes agitation.
-
One has to live in Society
always generate negativity.
-
Investigate the negativity.
Find things are happening which I do not like, wanted things do not happened.
I create tension – Process of reaction & tying knots, Makes the entire mental
& physical so tense & full of negativity.
-
Way to solve - develops
power, everything keep on happening as I want but this is not possible.
-
If some unwanted happens
one should divert his attention, start counting, one, two, three it works.
-
Then people still went
further in search, Divert attention is running away from problems observe &
face the problem. It becomes to loose its strength.
-
Allow to manifests on
physical & vocal & create more problems.
-
But it is really Practical
when anger arises it overpowers so quickly & we react, later we cry & repent,
begging pardon. All this pardoning do not help.
-
However enlightened one
found a real solution when there is defilement, two things arise at physical
level.
-
One is that the breath
looses normal rhythm.
-
Some biochemical reaction
starts – some sensations
-
Thus by observing the
respiration or sensation, I am observing mental defilement. I am facing the
reality as it is.
-
This way technique helps in
two aspects, outside & inside.
-
Now I learnt to observe the
abstract negativity when it arises. A pure mind is always full of love.
Compassion for failings sufferings of others, full of Joy at others success &
happiness full of equanimity in the face of any situation.
-
One becomes peaceful within
& distributes happiness to others.
-
This is what Buddha taught,
the art of living. He never established any religion.
-
Out of ignorance one keeps
reacting in a way which is harmful to oneself & to others. And one does not
react, one is capable of real action. Action proceeding from balanced &
equanimous mind.
-
Direct experience of
reality within one’s own self. This technique of self observation is what is
called VIPASSANA MEDITATION To look, To see with open eyes in
ordinary way But VIPASSANA is to observe things as they really are, not
as they seem to be.
-
Three steps to the training
– One must abstain from any action physical or vocal which disturbs the peace
& harmony of others.
-
Code of morality is the
essential first step of the practice.
Second step is to develop
some mastery over the mind. Training to remain fixed on single object, the
breath, This is not breathing exercise one has to observe the natural
respiration.
-
These two steps are very
essential in themselves but they will lead to self repression unless one takes
the third step, purifying the mind from defilement by developing insight into
one’s own nature, this really is VIPASSANA expiring one own really
through systematic & observing of ever changing mind/matter phenomenon.
-
This is the culmination of
the teaching of Buddha : self purification through self observation .
-
This can be practised by
one & all. It is Universal, The remedy must also be universal VIPASSANA
is such a remedy . No one will object to a code of living which respect peace
& harmony. No. one will object by developing control over mind & developing
insight into one’s own inner realty. It is a universal path. It is not cult
or dogma.. It is not blind faith. Practice & you will short coming out other
problem.
